A 20-year-old rescued from Kano well dies.

A 20-year-old man, Hamisu Ahmed, was on Saturday confirmed dead, shortly after he was rescued unconscious by fire fighters from a well in Kano.

A statement by the state Fire Service spokesman, Saminu Abdullahi, disclosed that the victim had been handed over to his father, Yahaya Usman of Dorayi Chiranci Quarters.

According to the statement, the victim fell into the well, while fetching water to take his bath after the day’s work.

Abdullahi urged members of the public to be careful while fetching water from wells.
