Mazi Nnamdi Kanu appears in court today 21st October 2021. Case adjourned to November 10th 2021.  Court rejects application to transfer him from DSS to correctional center. According to lead counsel Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, this was done for security reasons; "for his safety".   

  The indigenous people of Biafra will embark on locking down the South-East region of Nigeria until the Nigerian government releases its leader, Nnamdi Kanu. The group also stated that the President Muhammadu Buhari government was planning to subject its leader to a media trial before October 21, adding that it would do everything within its reach to free its leader. In a release  statement by the group’s spokesman, Emma Powerful, on Wednesday, IPOB stated that it would commence the weekly lockdown on Monday, August 9. The statement signed by the Head of Directorate of the group, Mazi Chika Edoziem, also noted that those who took part in capturing Kanu including state governors of Igbo extraction should expect hostility from the group.    The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has said the way bandits and Boko Haram terrorists operate is different from that of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra led by Nnamdi Kanu. El-Rufai stated that bandits are not calling for the break up of Nigeria but are just carrying out their activities as a form of business. He said unlike IPOB which is led by Nnamdi Kanu, bandits have no centralised leadership. Nigerians living in London, United Kingdom, have begun a protest to demand the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, who was arrested by the Nigerian government in Kenya last Sunday and extradited to Nigeria. Some of the protesters waved the Biafran flag in a video obtained as they chanted, “ Free Nnamdi Kanu now ”, “ Free Nnamdi Kanu now.” Kanu is a British and a Nigerian citizen and it is believed that he had been staying in the UK. The Indigenous People of Biafra has said the Nigerian government has been making frantic efforts to buy its leader, Nnamdi Kanu so that he will stop agitating for the breakaway of Biafra from Nigeria. IPOB said this while reacting to a statement made by the Presidency through the presidential media aide, Garba Shehu on Wednesday that the military will soon crush members of the secessionist group in the South-East. Shehu had claimed that the secession agenda and activities in Nigeria were no more thriving due to the failure of secessionists to intimidate and extort money from President Muhammadu Buhari. The IPOB boss Nnamdi kanu made a tweet that caught the public attention sighting the Nigerian army as Fulani terrorists. His tweet: RED ALERT!!! There are confirmed sightings of ongoing abductions & kidnappings of people around OZUBULU and IHIALA right now by Fulani terrorists/soldiers of the  @HQNigerianArmy . They arrived in over 30 Toyota Hilux vans. Some were seen patrolling on foot around these areas.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has said no one deserves to be in any Nigerian prison when killer herdsmen and Boko Haram militants get arrested, freed and rehabilitated. Kanu disclosed this on his Twitter handle... IPOB boss Nnamdi kanu made a tweet that made rounds in tweeter recently.  However,in his tweet he said,"  Conversation Mazi Nnamdi Kanu @MaziNnamdiKanu Before you shed your blood or that of another for #OneNigeria, think about this: A truly UNITED nation does not require bloodshed to keep it one. Unity is of the mind, not of guns. You don’t have to die for your nation to remain ONE. If you have to, then you don’t have a nation.
