Despite a court order to produce them today, the Department of State Services has stated that it is holding 12 persons arrested during a midnight raid on the Ibadan home of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, more commonly called Sunday Igboho, because it is still investigating them. According to the DSS in a detention order it got from a Magistrate Court on July 19 by Justice Mohammed Zubairu, thedefiant secret police stated that the aides were believed to have committed “ the offences of treasonable crimes, illegal possession of firearms” among others. The DSS had on July 1 raided Igboho’s residence in Oyo. Peter Afunanya, the DSS spokesman, had said the security agency recovered illegal arms including seven AK-47 rifles and thousands of ammunition from Igboho’s house. The agency also paraded 12 supporters of the activist, saying they allegedly attacked DSS operatives during the raid.    The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has condemned the invasion of the residence of Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho by the Department of State Services (DSS).  IPOB described the attack on Igboho’s Soka residence in Ibadan, as barbaric and unacceptable. IPOB, in a statement issued by the spokesman of the group, Emma Powerful, also alleged that the Fulani and their collaborators are trying to bring catastrophe to Nigeria. The group asked the Nigerian government and security agents, especially the DSS, to stop taking it for granted. A statement by Powerful reads: “ We the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), ably led by our great leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, condemn the recent attack and massacre of peaceful and unarmed citizens of Odua people in the house of Sunday Igboho in his country home in Ibadan, Oyo State. I   The Department of State Security, DSS, has invited Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Abubakar Gumi, for questioning over remarks he made in a TV interview that allegedly portrayed the Nigerian military in a bad light.  Gumi was invited at the Kaduna office of the DSS, after the military authorities took exception to comments by Sheikh Gumi, alleging that their operatives were conniving with bandits. However, Gumi’s spokesman, Malam Tukur Mamu dismissed the allegation against Gumi, saying there was nowhere in the TV interview that Gumi categorically accused the entire military. According to Mamu, what Gumi said was what people have been saying and “even the soldiers have been saying that there could be some bad eggs among them”. He, therefore, urged the military and the TV company to apologise to Sheikh Gumi and retract their statements against him or else he will seek legal action.

There's an upthrust of confusion and panic in the east which later outburst to a corrosive protest by the IPOBs as the ESN got an Intel from a valid source that the Nigeria DSS had undergoing plan to launch massive attacks on banks with the aide of their paid secret thugs only to leave a trace behind, so the attacks could be traced to the ESN. According to the IPOBS, the DSS blown plan came as a shock to the public as angry youth balled out with banners and playcard bearing different  inscriptions about the new security development.
