The police in Ogun State have raised the alarm that members of various cult groups are planning to launch attacks that may result in bloodletting and wanton destruction of property in the State. The police hinted that the incident would happen on Wednesday, when the cultists would be celebrating what they call “7/7” – being 7th of July, 2021. As a result, the Ogun State police command warned those nursing such devilish intentions to retrace their steps, stressing that such a move would be met with strong resistance from security agencies. To this end, the Ogun State Public Relationship Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said all the command’s tactical squads, as well as the DPOs and Area Commanders, have been put on red alert to nip in the bud, any act capable of undermining the security of the State.
