Nigerian Army Took Down 20 Boko Haram Terrorists, Seized Trucks, Ammunition—Spokesman

The Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyeama Nwachukwu, said in Abuja on Monday, that the Nigerian Army troops of Sector 2 Joint Task Force East Operation Hadin Kai, have been able to neutralise 29 members of the Boko Haram and Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) terrorist groups. The troops were able to carry out the operation on the terrorists who were camping at Wartek in the general area of Lamboa forest in Borno State, with the help of the Air Task Force on Sunday. from the Nigerian Air force which resulted in a credible alliance with operatives from the Nigerian Army helped in the full penetration of the terrorists in Lamboa, Borno State. Gunmen Hit Back, Kill Alleged Military Informant Behind Death Of ESN Commander, Ikonso

  Gunmen have shot dead a middle-aged man alleged to be one of the informants used by the Nigerian Army to give away the late commander of the Indigenous People of Biafra’s Eastern Security Network (ESN), Ikonso Don.  It was learnt that the victim, whose name had yet to be ascertained, was gunned down in a village between Imo and Anambra states, where he was believed to be hiding. graphic images of the corpse of the victim,l was  obtained   who was shot dead along a footpath in the village while the gunmen escaped from the scene. “ The victim is alleged to be the informant the military and the police used in getting Ikonso’s location and in killing him. BREAKING: Nigerian Army, Police Kill 16 IPOB's Eastern Security Network Operatives In Abia

 A joint operation of the Nigerian Army and police has led to the death of about 16 operatives of the Eastern Security Network (ESN). The source said hundreds of security operatives on Tuesday night launched a heavy attack on the camp of ESN in Aba, Abia state, killing about 16 of them and injuring others. The information gathered so far had proven that the operation was in response to a series of attacks against security personnel in the South-East. Not less than 20 security operatives have been killed in the region by unknown gunmen in the last three months.  Police stations are also not left out in the assault as three of them have been razed in 2021. Three policemen were killed in a fresh attack in Ohafia LGA of Abia state on Monday. The officers were killed while on a ‘stop and search’ operation in Abiriba town.
