We will continue to pray for the country,we will not relent in our prayers until the banditry attacks end -Pastor Enoch Adeboye
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said the church would continue to pray to ensure that the security challenge facing the country is stopped.
The cleric said the freedom of members of the church, who were kidnapped in Kaduna State on their way for an evangelism in the state by suspected bandits, was a clear indication that prayer was the only alternative way to end banditry in Nigeria.
Adeboye stated this on Saturday while donating some materials and hospital equipments to the University of Medical Science Teaching Hospital, Ondo State.
Represented by the Provincial Pastor in charge of Province 2, Ondo, Goke Aniyenoye, Adeboye noted that the abducted members of the church were released without paying any ransom.
He said " we will continue to pray for the country,we will not relent in our prayers until the banditry attacks end.
On the equipment donated by the church to the university teaching hospital, the religious leader said the gesture was part of the move by the church to compliment the effort of the Ondo State Government in making quality health care available to the people of the state.
Adeboye disclosed that similar donations had been made by the church to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, as well as University of Jos Teaching Hospital, among others.
Receiving the equipment on behalf of the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, the Chairman Medical Advisory Committe Dr. Michael Gbala, commended the church for the gesture.
