Burna Boy makes history, Grasps grammy crown,wizkid and beyonce follow suit.

Damini Ogulu Professionally known as Burna boy won the best global music album category after beating four other nominees at the 63rd Grammys.

However,two Nigerian Afrobeat musicians, Burna Boy and Wizkid, on Sunday won their first Grammy Awards.

The musician won the category with his Twice As Tall album released in August 2020.

The album featured guest appearances from Naughty by Nature, the Kenyan band, Sauti Sol, Senegal’s musical titan, Youssou N’Dour, and Chris Martin of Coldplay.

Burna Boy in a video said, “Yes oh! Yes oh! Yes oh! Africa is in the House men! Africa, we are in the House!

“This is a big win for my generation of Africans all over the world!

“And this should be a lesson to every African out there: No matter where you are, no matter what you plan to do, you can achieve it.”

WizKid on the other hand Made it through with the hit track he burned with Beyonce and blue ivy in 2019.

Nigeria stand to be proud of these two home award bringers.

937 People Killed In Attacks In Kaduna In 2020

At least 937 people died in violent attacks and mass atrocities in Kaduna State last year, an annual security report by the state government has shown. The report released Wednesday attributed the deaths to kidnappings, banditry and other criminal activities that cut “across all ethnic and religious groups” in Kaduna State. “Victims of criminal acts like banditry and kidnapping are to be found across ethnic, religious or political leanings and persuasions,’’ Samuel Aruwan, the state’s commissioner for internal security and home affairs, said while presenting the report.
