Buhari noted that no investor can invest in an unsecured environment, a situation he quite agreed is currently bedeviling the Nation at the moment. President Muhammadu Buhari has urged governors to stop waiting for him to solve every problem for them, saying they should stop attacks by herdsmen in their states.  Many states have been experiencing deadly attacks on agrarian communities by Fulani herdsmen, putting pressure on the President as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces with the power to control the country's centralised security system.  Since he is Fulani, many Nigerians have also accused him of bias and lacking the political will to curb attacks by the nomadic herdsmen, who are also largely Fulani. But Buhari in an interview with Arise TV on Thursday, recalled two South-West governors  recently visited him to complain about encroachment by herdsmen on farmlands in their states.  Describing it as a threat to food security, Buhari said, “ You know these people more than I do, and you are democratically elected to protect your people. Don’t sit idly expecting me to do everything, take action."

   The United States government has asked the Nigerian Government to immediately reverse its ban on Twitter adding that it was tantamount to opposing free speech. Samantha Power, an administrator of the United States Agency for International Development, made this known in a statement on Wednesday. She revealed that Twitter has over 40 million users in Nigeria, noting that the directive must be reversed immediately. She said, “ There are nearly 40 million Twitter users in #Nigeria, and the country is home to Africa's largest tech hub. This suspension is nothing more than state-sanctioned denial of free speech and should be reversed immediately .” The US Mission in Nigeria had also issued an earlier statement via its Facebook page pointing out that the ban was an encroachment to the people’s right to freedom.    A middle-aged man, identified simply as Chibuzor, died on Monday after he was hit by concrete during the demolition of a three-storey building in the Ikoku-Azikiwe area of Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The building was demolished to pave way for the construction of the Nkporlu Oroworukwo Bridge. It was gathered that the deceased was among those scavenging iron rods and other materials from the site when the incident occurred.  It was told that one of the pillars of the building, which was being demolished by a construction firm, tilted and caused the rest of the building to cave in. An eyewitness disclosed that a large concrete from the first floor hit Chibuzor, adding that he was gasping for breath when he was brought out and passed away shortly after.   More details have emerged about the fatal invasion of the house of the Indigenous People of Biafra's (IPOB) lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, by Nigerian soldiers in the early hours of Sunday.   It was reported that the soldiers shot dead the lawyer's Personal Assistant, identified as Samuel Uzo Okoro, also known as Biggy.  It was gathered that the soldiers also put his corpse in the boot of a vehicle belonging to the lawyer and took them away.  An update provided to by civil society organisation, the International Society for Civil Liberty and Rule of Law, said four of the lawyer's relatives were also abducted by the military men.  A source in the organisation said, " In the wee hours of this morning, his house was invaded by armed soldiers, joined by the police, Department of State Services and civil defence operatives.   Some gunmen have razed the country home of Imo Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Chief Declan Emelumba in the Oru East Local Government Area of the state. The attack reportedly happened in the early hours on Sunday. Two houses in the compound were allegedly burnt down by the gunmen without any hindrance. Earlier in the day, officers of the Imo police command killed five gunmen in a foiled attack on the command. Imo state has been experiencing a series of attacks lately, especially on security formations. On April 5, armed men invaded the headquarters of the Imo State Police Command and the Nigerian Correctional Service in Owerri, burnt the facilities and freed over 1,800 inmates. Unfortunately, one person suspected to be a fleeing prison inmate was hit by a stray bullet.
