BREAKING: PDP governors storm Ibadan for meeting

  Governors on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will any moment from now begin a meeting in Ibadan, the Oyo state Capital. The meeting is to take place at the conference hall of the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA). It was gathered that the Governors are expected to deliberate on issues affecting the country, particularly insecurity, governance, restructuring, among others. Although, the governors are yet to arrive the IITA venue of the meeting as at the time of filing this report, it was gathered that the visitors were hosted to a dinner by the host governor Seyi Makinde at the Government House, Ibadan on Sunday. Unconfirmed source said the National Chairman of the party Chief Uche Secondus might present a keynote speech at the meeting. The information however could not be confirmed as at the time of this report. BREAKING: Gunmen Abduct Plateau Varsity Female Professor, Husband

  Professor with the Department of Medical Microbiology, University of Jos, Grace Ayanbimpe, has been kidnapped by gunmen. The professor was abducted early Monday morning alongside her husband by the gunmen who stormed their residence behind Haske Quarters, Lamingo in Jos North Local Government Area of the state. A resident of the community, Philip Dachung, confirmed the incident in Jos on Monday. Dachung said, “ The kidnappers came to their house around 2 am. They broke into their apartment and shot into the air. Neighbors who were terrified by sounds of gunshots could not come out for the fear of being hit by stray bullets. So, this morning, we discovered that the gunmen had taken the professor and her husband away. Cosmetic Surgeon, Dr Anu Under Fire As Lady Calls Her Out Over Failed Surgery

  The controversial cosmetic surgeon, Doctor Anuoluwapo Adepoju, has again been called out on social media after a lady alleged she developed an infection from a surgery performed by the doctor The spotlight has continued to beam on Dr Anu of MedContour after her failed surgery sessions on clients. A chat had surfaced on social media recently where a lady alleged that Dr Anu had given her fat necrosis. According to medical news today, fat necrosis is a condition that occurs when a person experiences an injury to an area of fatty tissue. It added that the term “necrosis” means the cells have died, noting this can result in the fat being replaced with the oily contents of fat cells. In the chat, the lady lamented how she is dying in Abuja after Dr Anu performed the operation on her. Beer Consumption Not Allowed In All Parts Of Jigawa, State Hisbah Commander Says

  The Jigawa State Hisbah, on Friday, said the consumption of alcohol is prohibited in all parts of the state.  The Hisbah confiscated over 308 bottles of assorted alcoholic drinks in a raid on a hotel in Gumel Local Government Area of the state. The State Hisbah commander, Malam Ibrahim Dahiri, disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse on Saturday.   According to him, the items were confiscated during an enforcement tour carried out by its operatives at one of the hotels in the area at about 10 a.m. He added that no arrest was made during the operation as the suspected owners and users ran away on sighting the operatives. " Our operatives have raided a hotel in Gumel town on Gujungu road where we succeeded in confiscating 308 bottles of assorted beer. I was sexually molested – Stella Damascus

  Veteran Nollywood Actress, Stella Damascus has revealed she was sexually molested at the age of eight. The actress made this known during an Instagram live session, adding that it left her traumatized for a long time before she was healed. According to her, she could not talk about it for years because of how society looks at victims of rape. Advising parents and society to do more to protect children, the actress said: “I was sexually molested at the age of 8 by someone who was supposed to be related to me. I could not tell anyone because it traumatized me. “I knew  what happened to those who spoke on my behalf, some people called me names like prostitutes. It’s painful it took me till when I was 30 plus before I could deal with the trauma from it . Imagine what young girls are going through but we as a society don’t do enough to protect our children and we should do better. She urges. 

Ex-President Jonathan says he didn't use political power to punish people

  Former President Goodluck Jonathan said in Benin on Sunday that he never believed in the use of temporary political office to punish people. “ My belief, particularly when I joined politics is not to use a temporary privilege, a temporary position God has given to me to punish people ,’’ he said. He was delivering an address at the 50th birthday celebration of Charles Osazuwa, President of the Rock of Ages Christian Assembly when he made the submission. Mr Jonathan stressed that people would always be remembered for legacies they left behind. “ Some of the things I did while in office to which people still make reference were based on the conviction not to use my position to cause the death of anybody. Any position I have occupied by divine providence should not be used to create hardship for other people ,’’ he said.
